Click to listen to sound sample Mountain Honeyeater is an apt alternative for this species that inhabits the highland rainforests of northeast Queensland between Cooktown and Townsville.

Bridled Honeyeaters are easily located - noisy and aggressive they feed on a variety of food, both fruits and insects but when available they prefer nectar and will travel to access flowering trees, even just outside the rainforest or into gardens.
