White-fronted Honeyeaters inhabit the arid and semi-arid zones of Australia and are absent from the tropical north and humid forests of the east coast. White-fronteds are the arid zone representative of the "yellow-winged" group of honeyeaters - the New Holland, White-cheeked and Crescent all of which are semi-coastal in their distributions.

White-fronted Honeyeaters are true nomads - here one week and gone the next. They are essentially nectar feeders and in good seasons they arrive in large numbers to feed on the nectar-rich shrubs such as eremophilas and grevilleas. They breed in pairs and temporarily maintain small territories, sometimes in close proximity.
