The two recordings on tape 121 were both made at Barred Creek near Broome, and present a small sample of the range of calls given by Broad-billed Flycatchers. They can be easily confused those of the Leaden Flycatcher which are even more varied. Sample 094-500 is from the mangroves at Shoalwater Bay in Queensland, the present known southerly limit of distribution on the east coast.
