Bird calls / bird song
Grey Grasswren

It has been claimed in the past that Grey Grasswrens don't have a song, but after all, they are songbirds. In sample 069-050, the songs are the obvious and loud elements, a rapidly repeated zit-zit-zit-zit-zit ending in tickizit but if you listen carefully, at the end of each song, there is a soft, sweet little downslurred trill - so we have zit-zit-zit-zit-zit tickizit tirrrrrrr. This trill may well be given by a second bird, in which case the song is actually an antiphonal duet.
