Bird calls / bird song
Pacific Baza

Sample LS-066 is from an adult Pacific Baza at Beerwah, Qld perched in the forest on the slopes of Mt. Coochin. It is giving the calls you hear more frequently from this species, a repeated "eee-choo eee-choo" - usually if I hear this call I look up and there they are, circling high overhead. The second sample LS-066a is the same bird calling to a recently fledged young one - the louder calls are the adult and the more rapid chatterings, which I presume to be pleading calls, are from the fledgling.
