Grey Currawong
Also known as: Black-winged Currawong
Strepera versicolor
(Viewing 4 of 6 photos)

Grey Currawongs are widespread throughout southern Australia and Tasmania with an outlier in the ranges of central Australia. There are several subspecies which differ a fair bit in overall colour, from grey to black. They frequent a range of forest country and also mallee and mulga woodland. Like all currawongs, they are omnivores and eat a wide variety of food- native fruits and berries figure largely.
